This is Sparky the Stegosaurus. I have turned her into an environmental piece of art. Since she is a dinosaur, and dinosaurs and all other ancient life are what makes up fossil fuels, I wanted to show that she can be part of the healing process. The plates worked perfectly as leaves, and her body was just right for the earth. It all worked! This dinosaur was part of a Carnegie Museum fundraising program 20 years ago. Many of the painted dinos are showing signs of their age! You can see another dino that I transformed in my Children’s Institute project from 2020.

Thank you to the Western PA School for Blind Children for allowing me to transform multiple spaces within their school!
