When this project was first commissioned, the building sat in a somewhat depressed area at the outer edge of downtown Pittsburgh. In working with the city’s art council, they expressed a desire for a composition that would be peaceful, tranquil, and colorful—something that would make people feel happy when they looked at it. The waterfall and colorful foliage achieved this very well. I also included some local wildlife including a ladybug that wraps around to the front of the building. There is also a stylized skyline of the city of Pittsburgh at the top.
